It might be the english half of me, however I am finding myself wanting england to win more and more. Indeed when i show up at the GABBA on sunday, i might indeed find myself secrectly going for england!

I can't relate to the current australian team, maybe due to the total lack of queenslanders (or more specifically a queenslander who's still playing for queensland) or a true champion I can relate to. We need a Steve Waugh or Adam Gilchrist type character.

They ony true champion in the Australian team at the moment is ponting, and hes a tosser.

whoa! the Australian Captain is a tosser?!
sheesh, one of the best batsman of our era -- a tosser is not!

This must be a confusing time for you, if you're half english half Australian.

We are in a development phase, and if we can sneak an Ashes victory, I will be mighty happy.

Well I did say he was a true champion, and champion batsman he is yes. I lost all my admiration for him however during the 2005 ashes series. When things did not go his way he acted more like the spoilt child, rather than an Australian Cricket captian.

Hm he had a lot of pressure on him.

Australia had not lost the ashes in over 26 odd years.

Our next captain will be the problem. I rue the day a M.Clarke is captain.

I agree with you about Clarke, Ozgirl.

Anway the Poms are right back in the game now, hopefully i will see a good tense finish on sunday, and most of all that is what i want to see.

yep, our inability to take 20 wickets (or even a wicket) is embarrassing.

All that good batting on Saturday for nothing...a draw looks likely today.

266 ahead for England and still batting strongly. Today the Gabba belongs to England, can't hear any Aussie voices,it's all Barmy Army singing.Great atmosphere.

nice 50 by Punter,
England batted too long (our inability to take a wicket did not help!) but it seems they are happy with a draw
