J Vineyards & Winery

Established by founder Judy Jordan in 1986, J Vineyards & Winery is one of the premier vintners of the Russian River Valley. It specializes in varietals, such as cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris, as well as a selection of fine sparkling wines, including J Vintage Brut, J Late-Disgorged Vintage Brut, Brut Rosé, and Cuvée 20 Brut.

Jordan's degree in Earth Sciences/Geology from Stanford University has served her well in understanding the alluvial soils that produce great wine grapes. With the assistance of veteran winemaker George Bursick and viticulturist John Erbe, she has turned her 254 acres into one of the largest estate vineyards in Sonoma County.

The J Visitor Center just outside Healdsburg offers casual wine tastings at its J Signature Bar, open from 11am to 5pm daily. Flights of five tastes are available for $20 per person. Special food pairings with small-production wines are offered in the Bubble Room salon. Seatings are provided only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Reservations are strongly recommended, and these tastings cost $60 per person.
