Armida Winery

The Armida Winery is a family owned and operated company in Healdsburg, California. It was purchased by the Armida family from Robert Frugoli in 1994. Bruce brought his business experience and brother Steve his experience from other wineries. They have transformed a quiet winery that produced good wines into a lively wine producing vineyard that focuses on hand crafted single vineyard wines from the top vineyards of Dry Creek, Russian River and Alexander Valleys.

The winery produces ten different wines that showcase the best vineyards in Sonoma County. These vineyards include Zinfandel, Durrell Vineyard Pinot Noir, Keefer Chardonnay and Durrell Vineyard Chardonnay. On the seven-acre property they produce Il Campo which is a field blend, 'Poizin' from Zinfandel, The Wine to Die For and in the cobalt blue half bottles the Pinot Grigio.

Only a small amount of wine is produced as they brother prefer to concentrate on quality over then quantity. The wine is only sold to members of the wine club and visitors of the winery.

Visitors are welcome to the winery between 11am and 5pm to taste the wines and enjoy the property and views. There is a large patio that overlooks the Russian River Valley where visitors can enjoy a lunch that they have bought with them, or they can play a game of Bocce Ball on the court that was made just above the pond. The court is a professional size court and is complete with balls and a scoreboard.

The brothers work in the tasting room with Janet and Kristina, they also tend to the garden, have a constant list of maintenance that is to be completed, they may be in the office or helping Jessica make the wine or assisting cellar master PW.

The winery is nestled within the western hills of Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Valley. The brothers and their staff aim to provide an experience to visitors that they will never forget along with being able to taste and purchase beautiful, individual bottles of wine.
