Description: Lost Reef Adventures customizes its dive trips a day before departure based upon the skill levels and dive-­site desires of interested divers. Excursions visit the celebrated Joe’s Tug, the Cayman Salvager, and Alexander wreck sites and reefs from the Western Sambos to the Western Dry Rocks. Lost Reef offers night pilgrimages seasonally. First you can pay homage to the sun as it sinks into the water, then you will take the plunge for a one-­tank twilight dive.

Description: Mornings find Seaduction’s dive boat exploring 2 wrecks or 2 reefs. Wrecks visited include Joe’s Tug, the Cayman Salvager, and the Alexander, whose shallower depths invite exploration by those of all experience levels. Seaduction offers trips to a wreck and a reef or 2 reefs in the afternoons. These excursions visit the Sambos, Rock Key, Sand Key, and the Dry Rocks. Snorkelers are welcome on the afternoon excursions, or they may opt for a snorkel-­only trip. Night dives are also offered regularly.

Description: For a bird’s-­eye view of Key West and beyond, take a ride in a vintage open-­cockpit biplane. Key West Biplanes’ sightseeing plane rides take you over the coral reef to view shipwrecks in Fleming Key Channel, along the south shore of Key West, to Boca Grande Key, across the backcountry waters, and up the Keys as far as Little Palm Island (see the Accommodations chapter). Tours range from 6 minutes to more than an hour. Prices are based on 2 people riding in the front seat. They also offers aerobatic rides.

Description: This parasailing enterprise prides itself on offering excursionists the most free falls and dips in Key West. Regular rides of 8 to 10 minutes include heights of 300 feet with one free fall and one dip; longer, higher rides of 10 to 12 minutes reach 600 feet and include several free falls and dips. Most parasailing is done behind Christmas Tree Island and Sunset Key. Single and double personal watercraft also are available for rent. Renters must remain within a limited riding area.
