I've been to Packo's and all the resturants along the river walk. Where else would everyone recommend? Does not have to be expensive - just really good must eat place in town.

Thanks!

Try Mancy's Steaks on the NW side, just off of I-75 on Phillips Ave., ate there once while in the area and it was pretty good.

If you like Lebanese food try Rumors on Monroe Street, or the Beirut also on Monroe Street. You get your money's worth at either. very very good!

If you like Hungarian, there used to be a place called The Budapest on Monroe St. just West of downtown. The neighborhood was really rough, but the food was very authentic and cooked by Hungarian Grandmothers. Haven't been there since the late 90's, though, so I'm not sure if it is still there.

Another good place was Busia's, a little Polish place at Laskey and Tractor, just east of the corner of Laskey and Lewis. Was last there in 2006, and it was really good, had all of the authentic Polish dishes.

Beirut - Lebanese. On Monroe. Toledo original with great food.
Manhattan's - Toledo original. 16th and Madison (I think). Newer restaurant of roughly 3-5 years, but very good food and a good atmosphere.
Mancy's Steakhouse - Toledo original. Arguably the best steakhouse in the city.

Since Toledo has a sizeable Middle Eastern population, are there a lot of good Middle Eastern restaurants in the area?

Heck yes!!! Byblos, like folks have said, and The Beirut, are both absolutely amazing!! Other than those, any of the Ahmed's Restaurants are awesome. They are American/Lebanese, not as authentically Lebanese as Byblos and Beirut, but just really good food. Ahmed's Cafe South on Airport was awesome, but that became a Damon's about 11 or 12 years ago. There is still one up on Alexis, that last I knew
