Sweetest thing I've seen in quite a while!! Aaawww. I think it is sweet also that it was a teenage boy who saved the bird. Probably a lot would not have bothered. That kid's going places!!!
I just want to tell you that although you get few responses to the posts you make, I do enjoy them.
I appreciate your kind comment. Sometimes I post somewhere on CD and know 89 people looked at it and not one comment. I'm like "Was it horrible? Boring? Offensive? Not interesting?" Some people give reps without any comment which is fine but it sure makes my day to get a "Thanks for posting" and then a comment like yours puts a smile on my face. I love searching all over the web for interesting articles and pictures and it seems only natural to share. When I can, I also usually give reps to anybody who comments. Kind of like Thank You.
Such a sweet story. We used to live at a fish hatchery and there was a huge building where all the baby fish were kept in raceways. There was roll-up door at the entrance. Hummingbirds would occasionally get in there and not be able to find their way out. Whenever they found a hummingbird that was caught in there and dying they would bring it to me. With such a high metabolism they cannot last very long without nourishment, so they were be barely alive. I had one die, but I probably saved 5 others by making up sugar water and force feeding them a little at a time until they got all their strength back and could fly away.
