That intersection is definitely ugly going north past shoppes at river crossing, then turning left towards bass road. There needs to be a traffic light atleast.
Silicon Ranch to invest $55M in Houston County solar project, construction to start next month
One of America’s largest independent solar power producers is making a major investment in Central Georgia.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced Tuesday that Silicon Ranch Corporation will be investing $55 million in a new solar project in Houston County.
Quote:
Construction is set to begin Dec. 1, 2020 and Silicon Ranch plans on hiring more than 300 craft workers from Houston County and the surrounding area...
... Silicon Ranch COO Matt Beasley says the project will be located near the intersection/overpass of Firetower Road and I-75, about 5.5 miles south of Perry.
I just looked at the Warner Robins planning and zoning agenda for May 17th. It looks like Warner Robins will be getting its first loft style development next year just off of hwy 96!

Trendy name for apartments. The official definition of loft is an open residential space, but the traditional meaning of loft is that it was converted to residential from a different use (often retail or light industrial). If built from scratch, they are apartments. Developers like to call new apartments, "lofts" to signal they are nice and to prevent as much backlash from the neighbors.
I am not saying it is bad or anything, just humorous to me regarding the wording.
