I fail to see how this is a 'culture' issue as the OP states or what pizza culture even is, in this usage.

The pizza culture I subscribe to is fresh, fresh, fresh.

It really depends. Some pizzerias don't sell by the slice, you have to buy a whole pie. You can eat some and have leftovers. Or you can buy a "personal size pizza" which is around the size of an old 45rpm record and is more or less the amount of 2 slices of pizza.

If there are places that sell by the slice, AND the pizza is good pizza, I would usually prefer just one or two slices. Sicilian pizza especially - just one slice. That's a whole meal's worth.

That's what I do too. I might take one bite of the crust just to get the taste.

Thin crust with a little sauce and lots of veggies. YUM!

Skip the cheese and you get rid of almost all the salt and all the fat!

There's a local pizzeria that makes basic thin crust pies with good ingredients.
A few years back they spent some $$ to hire a nutrition lab to do a full, legit caloric analysis of 2 slices of their cheese pizza vs. 2 equal-sized slices of Papa John's cheese pizza.
Based on the results I learned I could eat 5.5 slices of their pizza for the same calories as 2 of Papa John's.
And by simply looking at the two pizzas you couldn't really see a huge difference except for more cheese on the PJ slices.

I always order the large 5 meat Papa John's pizza cut in squares instead of slices. And there's no way I could eat the whole thing. That's what zip lock bags are for. Save it for lunch the next day.

Good lord, what is pizza culture? If you slice a 24" pizza into quarters and its a deep dish Chicago pizza you may have problems if you are watching you weight, cholesterol or blood glucose.

My pizzas are homemade, with whole wheat, and lots of veggies. That is not related to a deep dish, extra cheese, meat lovers pizza.

Use common sense.

I don't tolerate gluten or dairy well. Having pizza a few times a month is more than enough for me.
EDIT: I usually have the Daiya Frozen Pizzas

I've tried fathead dough and other keto bread recipes, they don't give me the breadiness I crave. I'd rather just skip it entirely, and spend the calories on something I enjoy.
