And it appears that by firing Frost today, he walks away with 15 million and if the university had waited until October 1st, the buyout would have been $7.5 million. So I guess getting him out the door immediately was worth $7.5 million to Nebraska.
Paid him a lot of money to come to Nebraska and paid him a lot to leave. So it goes in college football.
Would love to be a fly on the wall in College Station right now. Appalachian State? At home??? God that’s brutal.
Yes, it is.. but also.. No.. It's not.
Appy State is a DAMN good program and has been for quite some time. The only reason they're not a consistent top 25 (or better) team is that they're a little school in a little town in North Carolina.
But, the players that they get, they get the most out of them. They also have a pretty good QB.. Somehow, Chase Brice, the former Clemson backup who was the hero of the 2018 season is a 6th year senior.
Overall.. I'd say this is far less embarrassing than Michigan losing to them back in '07. At that time, they were an FCS team.
I doubt I’ll be able to find another version. It looked like it was at a high school or practice stadium. Fans or students were in the stands. There was one speaker with 3 or 4 guys behind him on the track. The guys were dressed in overalls and hats trying to be stereo typical “hillbillies”. The speaker started off being confused since there is no state of Appalacian and surprised at how far in the remote backwoods is the university. He then goes on about their lack of brain cells because of where the university is located.
That idiot A&M cheerleader ignoramus who said there is no state of Appalachia doesn’t even know about Angelo State, Tarleton State, & Sam Houston State (whom they played in week 1) are all in the state of Texas?
And the same clown dressed in overalls at an agricultural school referred to Appalachian State as a “hillbilly school”?
LMAO.

ummm.. I couldn't have told you the first two.
Sam Houston.. Goes without saying.. Bu the first two? Nope.
Well, Georgia Southern came back down to earth at UAB. But how about that game finish that App State had against Troy to get the win?
And it looks like Marshall is having their hands full with Bowling Green at halftime.
Up 4.. You intentionally take a safety with about 30 seconds left THEN squib kick? That.. Was a bad call. It damn near worked out for Troy but that was a low odds of success call all the way around. If you didn't fell comfortable punting, ok, take the safety but at least kick it deep, hopefully for a touchback.

Yeah, I'm sure that the Troy coach is going to get a lot of flak about that kick, even though it did take a miracle for them to lose.
I see that Marshall finally lost to Bowling Green, so the only one of the three Cinderellas from last week to survive this week is App State.
