Correction: Provide employee break room or designated area away from food preparation or storage for beverage storage. Correct By: 04-Oct-2013

Observation: Employee noted working in food preparation/cooking area without a hair restraint.

- PACKAGED AND UNPACKAGED FOOD - COVERED CONTAINERS OR WRAPPING
Observation: Pan of baked potatoes, green beans, and diced potatoes in the WIC were observed to be unwrapped or uncovered.
Correction: All foods that are not part of a cooling process shall be covered at all times to prevent cross-contamination. If cross-contamination is evident, discard suspected foods.
- FOOD CONTAMINATION PREVENTED FROM PREMISE - OFF THE FLOOR
Observation: The boxes of food in the dry storage area, boxes of food in the WIC and WIF are stored on the floor.
Correction: Store all food items 6 inches above the floor. Correct By: 11-Oct-2013
- UTENSILS, EQUIPMENT AND LINENS - STORING PROHIBITIONS - CLEAN DRY LOCATION
Observation: Boxes of single service items- cups, plates, lids are improperly stored on the floor in the main kitchen and back storage area.
Correction: Clean equipment and utensils, laundered linens, single-use and single service articles shall be stored in a clean dry location, not exposed to contamination and off the floor.
- PLUMBING - SYSTEM MAINTAINED IN GOOD REPAIR
Observation: The plumbing associated with the handsink and ice machine is causes water to back up from the floor drain and puddle under the ice machine. Plumbing is not maintained in good repair.
Correction: The plumbing system shall be maintained in good repair. Repair or replace defective or leaking plumbing. Plumber was contacted during inspection and will arrive soon. Correct By: 04-Oct-2013
- LIGHT BULBS - PROTECTIVE SHIELDING (repeated violation)
Observation: Lights located in dry storage area are not shatter resistant.
Correction: Provide shielded, coated, or otherwise shatter resistant light bulbs. Correct By: 11-Oct-2013

Observation: No handwashing signage provided at designated handwashing sink.
