    Observation: Purell hand sanitizer is being used after handwashing contains unapproved additives that can come in contact with food. Employee observed washing hands in an approved manor, but after drying uses this sanitizer and prepped pizzas.
    Correction: Use only approved food additives in food. Discard contaminated or adulterated foods.
  • THERMOMETERS - AMBIENT AIR AND WATER - ACCURACY
    Observation: Permanently affixed thermometer on the exterior of the walk-in cooler measuring ambient air is not accurate. Interior air is measuring 39F. Affixed thermometer is 45F.
    Correction: Calibrate or replace thermometer.
  • IN-USE UTENSILS, BETWEEN USE STORAGE
    Observation: Ice scoop in the ice machine was improperly stored with the handle touching the ice.
    (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Ice scoop was removed and wash, rinsed, and sanitized.
    Correction: Store in-use utensils in the food item with handle extended, on a clean surface, running dipper well or in a container of water greater than 135°F.

    Observation: Cardboard used as flooring material in front beverage cooler.
    Correction: Provide non-food contact surfaces that are constructed of a corrosion resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth materials.
