I've ate here for YEARS, growing up off Taylor Blvd. And I will NEVER go to any different Chinese fast food place other than Golden Star. They are the best, the people who own it are the sweetest people ever. They've always been kind and nothing less. The food is the BEST, everything is always fresh, and exactly what you order. I recommend this place to everyone. I live off Preston Highway now and still come all the way to the south end to get my Golden Star, They are the BEST!!!
Now I have tried other places other than Golden Star on Taylor Blvd, they just aren't the same. Nothing taste the same as golden star. I've tried Chinese restaurants off of Preston and I haven't found ONE YET that has caught my attention. They're ok, but NOTHING like the good o'l Golden Star.
Last year 2014 I had the worst scare of my life!! I thought they went out of business due to someone (I think) running into their building with their car. I seriously almost cried, call me what you want, but when I am craving Chinese... Golden Star ALWAYS fixes that for me. Thank goodness they were only shut down maybe a month. I'm here now though. Hopefully my Shrimp Fried Rice, Shrimp Lo mein, and my Crab Ragoon are finished. I am starving. 😋
