Description: This combination bar and show club is open from 4 p.m. until early a.m. nightly. They feature drag shows every Tues, Fri, and Sat, with a boxer-shorts contest the first Fri of the month and the Red Ribbon Review in the Rainbow Room the first Sat of each month. There’s a small cover charge for some special events. Karaoke nights are Thurs and Sun; Mon is reserved for their pool tournament. Wed, everybody just hangs out. The third Fri and Sat of the month, look for Twisted Theatre—a drag show built around a movie theme. Some past greats have included Mommy Dearest, the Musical and The Exorcist, the Musical.

Description: This place is huge and includes four comfy lounges in the VIP area. Open Thurs through Sat, the dance floor’s roomy and there are two dance poles. The music is edgier than that at most of the clubs. Feel like dancing on the bar or doing body shots? Go ahead. There’s no live music here but no one seems to mind. They do have DJs. Pink is getting a reputation as the bar of choice for visiting celebs, including groups from Nickelback to the Pussycat Dolls.

Description: During the school year, this midtown spot is popular with Tulsa University students, but the crowd is pretty eclectic. There’s live music on Thurs, Fri, and Sat; the rest of the week, it’s the jukebox. The two pool tables, the Megatouch, and video bowling are popular. Open seven nights a week, the bar stays busy—no food served.

Description: Large, fairly loud, and with a younger crowd, Sharky’s offers billiards, shuffleboard, real dartboards, free Buzztime Trivia, and pinball. Thursday night is karaoke—called Sharkaoke here—and DJs get the music going on Friday and Saturday nights. Other nights, they fill in with a digital jukebox. With two full bars, you won’t go thirsty. There are plenty of TVs, including a big screen, for viewing all the major sporting events.

Description: Owner Blake Ewing already owned a Joe Momma’s in south Tulsa but always wanted a kitchen with a brick oven. Now he has it in this downtown location just around the corner from the Blue Dome. Open lunch, dinner, and late night, this is a great spot for pizza lovers, families, and members of the young crowd who want to skip the smoky bar scene but still hear good music. Joe Momma’s presents live local bands on Friday and Saturday nights. On those nights, the late crowd can order pizza by the slice. Trivia night is on Thurs, karaoke on Tues, and there are arcade games, pinball, checkers, and board games available. Wine and beer are available, including Marshalls, a local brew.
