Hi All
I will be arriving this weekend to do some house hunting! I was originally looking in the Fort Mill/Tega Cay area. Can anyone give me some ideas of areas in this vicinity that may have houses for sale in the 225,000 range? I am not having alot of luck with the realtor returning my calls and I am not familiar with the area. I can find my way with a map - just need to know where I'm going!!
Looking for 1/3 acre min., 4 bedrooms and a garage.
TRy Knightsbridge, Whitegrove and some others off of Doby's Bridge road in Fort Mill. Resale 10 years or under in some. Try the web site for Allen Tate realtors and enter the neighborhoods you would like to see what is avaiable in.
For the 225 range you should try Spice wood and the Reserve both on gold hill (exit 88 I-77 go toward Tega Cay and you will find all three I gave mentioned) both have new houses in that range (Knight's Bridge has resales in that range also.
There's the Ryan Homes too - Dominion Bridge. I live in a Ryan Home in PA right now and I'm considering a home in Sutton Place, another Ryan Homes development in Fort Mill. We were down in April looking for a home. Would love to live in Baxter Village, but don't think we can afford the model we want - The Riddell. <sigh> Loved the area, and the Lake is fabulous!
We moved here in 2004 and built a new home just outside of Tega Cay, SC for 250K. If you are looking for something average, you should plan to pay 250K to 300K. Look out for the schools; the Ft. Mill school corp. cannot keep up with the development. Your child may end up in a different school than your next-door neighbor. You might want to consider waiting until the housing bubble burst here in the Charlotte area. Good Luck, E.F
KB has brand new home developments starting in upper140's on up in fort mill. Go to their site... Houses look nice and considering that's the base price, some have basements and some dont, you can customize them to your satisfaction... athough there is a 6 mo. wait because they have to build it from scratch.....
They are running a lot of incentives... might want to check it out
Just looking back over this thread...and wow, how things have changed! Anything new under $200k....highly unlikely! The 140’s?...those were good times! Lol

Seriously! Give me a dozen of any homes in Fort Mill under 200k and I'll have them sold by Friday!
