I love my house, love my county, moved here from nyc to escape the quality of life issues of the city and to give my kids a shot at a good life. I opted for highertaxes (13,000) a year in property tzxes but here In ny, the people who run this county and state are killing us. I will never be able to retire here even with our mortgage paid off. A friend moved down to indian land and loves it and has been encouraging us to move. We have visited a couple of times and love it. I mnow there is alot of development happening and know all about over development coming from queens, ny. I hear alot about home break ins, what isgoing on with that? Let meknow what you guys think. Thanks...

We just put that out there to slow the massive influx of NY'ers who have discovered our southern paradise. All we're waiting for is an authentic NY bagel shop and a great NY style Chinese food joint and we're closing the gates.
