Anything going on that we should show/bring them to?
We are still new here, so any suggestions would be great!
TIA

"Fall in Downtown" will be held on Congress Street in York from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 27. Live music, food and events include a costume contest, waiters' race and a weenie dog race. For more details, call the Greater York Chamber of Commerce at 684-2590.

If time allows a trip to the NC mountains is always good this time of year. Even if you just go on a day trip to Lake Lure (Dirty Dancing was filmed there) and Chimney Rock (Last of the Mohicans filmed at Chimney Rock.)

Chimney Rock

Lake Lure

Have you visited Brattonsville? This weekend the Sixth Regiment SC Volunteers is having a War Between The States Reenactment.

Brattonsville is a 775 acre living history museum. It features the plantation of Harriet Bratton as well as earlier buildings including the Brattonsville female academy and numerous other log, wood, and brick structures from the early to mid 19th century.

From York - Follow Hwy 321 for approximately nine miles to Brattonsville Road and turn left. Proceed on Brattonsville Road three miles to the Visitors Center on the left.

Brattonsville was chosen as the site for the filming of the movie "The Patriot", with some of the movie's most memorable scenes filmed here on site of the Bratton Family Plantation home.

Brattonsville

It really depends on their interests. I hope they enjoy their visit.

Antiques & a really good flea market (not sure where one of those are around here). They are actually pretty flexible and are primarily coming to see our new house. Just don't want to spend the weekend in my living room

Well, I don't know if I would call it "really good" but there is the Pineville Flea Market just a few feet away from Fort Mill (it's pretty big actually). If you go down the street a mile there are a few antique shops in dowtown Pineville.

I'd skip that flea market - it's all junk. But yes, the antique sotres in downtown Pineville are LOVELY.
