I just moved to Charlotte this summer and I am currently renting while I search for a new home development. My price range is from 150,00-190,000. I will be working in Union County, but haven't really seen anything that I can afford in this area...so I am looking at branching further out into the Pineville area and right across the border into SC. If you know of any home communities that fit my limited price range please let me know! Thanks for your help

Does it have to be a new home? Where are you working in Union and how far are you willing to commute?

I would prefer a new home, but would not rule out one that has already been built. I will be working at an elementary school close to the Mecklenburg border, so not very far in Union Co. actually. I would like to keep my commute to 20 min. or under.

Legacy Park has homes starting in the 150,000's. Cobblestone has townhomes from the 180,000's, Hanover may have a few townhomes from about 110,000, though it is about sold out. Arlington has patio homes from the 140,000's. Clairemont surely has resales under 200. Theres a new development on 160, Reid Point, that is advertising homes/townhomes for less than 200, but they're not built yet. Ashley Glen advertises they have homes beginning at 170, but all of them I see available are over 200. Good luck.
