My vote is NO to Tru Green... I have used them for the last 2 years and I have the WORST lawn on the block. Bye Bye Tru Weeds.

marndt is correct. NO to Tru Green and NO to Scotts(weed city). We use Secure Turf and we are very very happy with them.

Thumbs down No to SHOWCASE GROUP LAWNCARE..PERIOD!!!!

In my opinion, SHOWCASE GROUP from Lancaster county in East Earl, is the worst lawn service I ever had in 24 years as a homeowner. The president / owner is very rude ( Matt Kulp) and hard to deal with, and will resort to name calling. They blame the homeowner for their incompetence and lackadaisical approach to customer service. My lawn never looked so bad in the 24 years we owned our home.. The lawn is "No Showcase" as promised in his letters.

We've used Trugreen for the last four years and have nothing but good things to say about them! We started with new comstruction so our front yard was sod and our back yard was seeded with "contractor seed" which is basically all weeds. It quickly spread to the front lawn within a year, so we called Trugreen and after about 6 months of maintenance we noticed a huge difference! Now, you can't expect miracles with the first treatment you need to give it time. Our neighbors on both sides and across the street all used to use Scott's but now use Trugreen because of the results of our yard.

My neighbor just dropped TruGreen for bad service. I've used Scott's on multiple properties (for both Fescue and Bermuda) and have been happy with their services and quality of work. Whoever you go with, don't expect miracles overnight. It'll take a season or 2 before your lawn looks great! That assumes you mow it correctly (never take more than 1/3 of blade off at a time) and water as needed. I personally mulch to provide additional nutrients.

Hope this helps!

It also depends on the individual that has your route. When we had tru green, they did not have a consistent person to service our yard... For almost 3 years we never had any consistency with their service, so the results were less than I expected. We started on the Organic Plant Health schedule and we are very happy with the results. Unfortunately it is now very difficult to locate their organic products and we are seeking alternatives to their products.
