Just curious. I am looking to relocate and thought it might be nice to know. This does not mean I am looking for a husband. BUT never hurts to look.

Well.....seems like all the men in Wyo want to get married by he 3rd date - NEVER seen anything like it in my life. Want somebody to take care of them & the continue to hang out with the guys. There is not the "singles scene" that you might find in a college town or anything. There is drinking & dancing & that's pretty much it. There are 3 bars in Cody with reg. live music - one country, one new rock (head-banging as hubby calls it) & 1 more classic rock / southern rock combo. A LOT of divorced ppl here. Want an instant fam? Head on out!

Yeah - a lot of them do; totally freaked me out when I moved here 30 years ago. LOL!!!! They want taken care of for one thing, but there are generally speaking more men than women here but many of the women come with families in place, not that that is a BAD thing, but we have a pretty high divorce rate & the teenage preg rate was the highest in the USA for several years straight.

Sorry, Elkhunter - didn't mean to make it sound like ALL of the single men are proposing or moving in WITH YOU by the 2nd date...there are some that play hard to get...LOL!!!! But we do have our "players" - on both sides!

Like the old saying about Wyoming goes:

"Wyoming: Where men are men, women are few, and the sheep are nervous."

In my years in Wyoming, I could see how the saying got started--far more single men than single women. I was a single guy when I moved there, and when I left . . . I was still a single guy. That said, the old saw about there not being any pretty ladies in Wyoming is bunk. I saw some of the prettiest ladies I've seen anywhere around Wyoming--unfortunately, just about all of 'em were already married.

Years ago, probably about the mid 60's when Wyoming boomed with oil, oil field workers came running from all over the country. 99% of them didn't bring families and almost all of them were men. We're talking thousands. It's kind of been that way ever since with the boom areas. Although today you see a lot more families coming in. But still the biggest percentage is men, single, no families.

Moved here to marry my "Wyoming" Mr.

Lots of men here looking, some want to date some want to settle down. You should have no problem finding at date, in fact you might need a big stick to beat them off with.
