Take Highway 191 (SH 373) just West of Rock Springs, head South, there are lots of roads heading west from it to the Eastern shore of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Lots of great scenary out that way.

Yes! When I sold my business interests in Wyoming and Montana in 1980 I planned to buy and run a similar business in Pagosa Springs. The owner of the business and I got all the details ironed out, but then my (ex) wife, after a decade of b*tching about Gillette, decided she liked it here and refused to move.

It's a beautiful area.

One of the interesting aspects of Pagosa Springs is the hot springs under the city. The downtown commercial building I was planning to buy was roughly 6,000 sq feet and was heated by the underground springs. As I recall, heating bills averaged about $35/month, just the electricity to pump the water. Many of the sidewalks and driveways in town also had the hot water lines under them, so no snow shoveling was necessary.

Awesome view! Someday I will have a view like that instead of a neighbors house.

Thanks for sharing!

Pictures of the wild mustangs on BLM land not far outside of Cody. We spent a couple of hours watching them late in the evening one day last summer.

The one mustang was scarred and beaten and bruised, and completely separated from the rest of the herd. He had obviously lost the battle for dominance. He followed along whenever the horses traveled but stayed a good 500 feet away from them.

I like to take my wife over to McCullough Peaks to see the Mustangs. It's very relaxing just to sit there and watch them. Great pics.
