well the price of uranium has been creeping back up.there is speculation among some mining companies that some old mines in wyoming and utah will reopen and some new ones will be developed in the not too distant future.better buy up realestate in jeffrey city while its cheap....or maybe not

There are over 50 sites that are being considered for uranium alone in Campbell County.

As for the mining.... it's going strong, and international energy demand is at unprecedented levels. This WyoDak seam alone has a life expectancy of 200-300 years at current expansion and mining technology. It's pretty safe to say that the mines will be here for a while, and that while fluctuations will exist nobody's going to be closing their doors.

As for the power plants... the addition to WyoDak is on, and the approval for the new 380 mega watt Dry Fork plant happened a month or so ago. The dirt guys started the next day, and it's scheduled for completion in 2011. The third plant is going to happen as well.....
