You may end up in what is basically low income apartments. Always more mature adults, but most likely not all seniors. The senior center in Cody (at the link above) should be able to point you in the right direction.

Here is the site for Section 8, low income housing. Most will accept you if you have an income of less than $40k a year.

MFH Rentals (USDA RD)

Thanks I am looking them up now. Also I would not mind to house sit for someone. Or take care and live with someone. Caregiving job or housesitter.

On Elkhunter's link above, you'll find the Grandview Apts. These look to be very nice and are senior citizen focused. They're newer units and in a well-kept residential area close to the middle school. The Crystal Cove apartments listed seem to draw some of the shadier characters in the area. (I'm sure there are some lovely people that live there also, but they're really the only apartments that give me a hinky feeling when I drive past them.) They're at a major intersection (well, as "major" as one gets in Cody, WY) that is surrounded by commercial zoning. I really don't know anything about the Shamrock ones, though the map shows them to be a primarily residential area. They're close to a very nice and well-kept Lutheran Church property. Of the three, Shamrock is closest to the airport.

If you see anything that you'd like photos of from the outside or would like someone to drive by, message me. I live in Cody and am out/about quite a bit. I'd be glad to drive by and give you a description of the area. I was in your position last summer of trying to find a place to live from far away. It's not easy!

Default Thanks

I would like a picture of the area of Mountain View Apartments. I talked with a very nice lady today about them. I just don't want to have to spend a arm and leg in rent. Would like to do alot of other things with it. My sisterinlaw has two interviews next week at hospitals there Cody and Powell. We are very excited about the move there. Also if you know any house sitter jobs I would love to do that also,no baby sitting though! Thanks so much for your help. It is stressful trying to do this over the computer. [Mod cut]

Hi! I wasn't sure if you meant the Mountainview Manor or Grandview. Mountainview Manor actually had an ad in paper today that said rent was income-related. This complex is a block off of the main street in Cody (Sheridan). It's within an easy walk from the Irma Hotel and in walking distance to the hospital. It's in downtown Cody, but it's on the edge, not in the busiest area of it. The first two pics are the Mountainview Manor apartments. There's a courtyard in the middle. The complex is old, but seems to be kept up nicely.

The last picture is the Grandview complex. It's in a more residential area, a little quieter. Very new attractive complex.
