Just found this little ditty on the politic forum.
"Talk about traders, thanks a whole bunch McCain, boy I dislike Obama's policies emensly, but McCain, YOU ARE A TRADER!!! You are all a bunch of lily livered traders, who do not deserve to call yourselfs American's. You love the illegals so much, go live in Mexico."
I love it! I think from now on those traitors will be traders to me.
IIRC, "maroon" for "moron" goes back to old Bugs Bunny cartoons.
LOL - Then I suppose I should watch cartoons more often .
This reminds me of the time I was corrected when I replied to a poorly translated post with "All your bases are belong to us." I thought everyone knew the origin of the phrase. Oh well, Karma payback (aka Karmic Payback ).

Was Bugs the first to use that phrase ("What a maroon."), or was it a current catch phrase of the time? Like maybe something Bob Burns was known for saying between playing tunes on his bazooka?
Thread title: "Why do ppl prefer to sit in booths......"
Why do people prefer to type "ppl" instead of typing three extra letters? Does it really take that much longer to type three vowels?
I hate typing "people". I'm a touch typist, and it never comes our right, and I have to go back and type it with my index finger. Same with "population".
I hate the keyboard layout. I bet I go days, even weeks at a time without ever using a semi-colon, but it's right there under a finger, but I have to stop and search for the apostrophe and the hyphen, one of which occurs in almost every line or two.
