“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”
― Audrey Hepburn

I made up the statistics for this one, but I tell it to my children all the time.

"90% of the time when you do something stupid, nothing bad happens. But...90% of the time when something bad happens, you've done something stupid."

That's a good one, but I'd replace "90%" with "most."

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.

Tecumseh

"Given the scale of life in the cosmos, one human life is no more than a tiny blip. Each one of us is a just visitor to this planet, a guest, who will only stay for a limited time. What greater folly could there be than to spend this short time alone, unhappy or in conflict with our companions? Far better, surely, to use our short time here in living a meaningful life, enriched by our sense of connection with others and being of service to them." ~H.H. Dalai Lama

Just as a preface to this amazing quote:
It couldn't have come to me at a more appropriate time.
I read this today, & re-read it to truly savor it.....
I love how serendipity brings me to inspiration, every time I really need it

*You can't go back under any circumstances!
Throw gasoline on the bridge. Strike a match and burn it.
You can't go back to the old you...because you know that person is your greatest enemy.
You can't go back to the old habits...because those choices will sabotage you.
You can't go back to that old relationship. That old relationship not only held you back,
but it got you off track, and dislocated you from yourself.
You can't go back to the same old people...because the person they
once knew doesn't live here anymore.
You can't go back to the old places...because they don't fit into your future.
Look at yourself.
Be honest with yourself.
Don't look back because in doing so, you will be pulled back in.
Keep your eyes looking forward. Work on yourself.
Develop yourself. Pursue your dream.
Build a new life by attracting new people, and creating a new reality!
This is your time! You can't go back...because you've come too far to turn around now.*

"One does not ask to live. But when one is alive, one tries to take interest in the things that make up life. That is what I have done." Winston Churchill

It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.

Some heroes capes are invisible.

- Author unknown

Do not go where the path may lead,
go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

The hero is commonly the simplest
and obscurest of men.

- Henry David Thoreau

An invincible determination can accomplish almost anything and in this lies the great distinction between great men and little men.

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.

Bruce Lee
