Is it easy for a US citizen to move to Canada. I keep hearing
contradictions from anyone can go even those with criminal
records to it's so hard to move there that you need a good
job and in somthing they need. So which one is it. Also how
hard is it for a Canadian to move to US. I probably know that
answer since the US was built by immigration.
You probably should post this on the Canada forum. It's certainly easier to get into Canada if you can get in on a NAFTA work visa (i.e. in a professional field where there is demand) than using the point system that basically applies to any immigrant (education, age, are you wealthy, etc).
Hello,
depending on the why you would like to move.
Like barneyg said, if your profession is on the Nafta list, it's a lot easier.
But there are several ways of moving from the US to Canada.
There is also the issue of if you are alone or moving with family.
I moved to Canada from Europe and I'm sure form the States it's easier.
This is the place that helped me move, maybe they can help.
Good luck.
