The woman was a cashier who worked for a company that had a string of robberies so far this year...Google "Check ‘N Go robberies" and you'll see what I mean.
Not only should she be fired, she may be guilty of child endangerment.
I never heard of a cashier bringing their to work-lol
It happens on a fairly regular basis at the company I work for. Customers are rarely aware of it. Next time you see some 10 yr old messing with the candy in an empty checkout lane ask him if his mother works there.
FLINT TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Mid-Michigan woman said she was fired for taking part in Take Your Child to Work Day, but her employer said she ignored company policy.
Now, Qwerda Evans is out of a job and the company is standing by its decision.
I wish Take your Child to Work Day was never invented. I have no interest in talking to a bunch of kids
I've worked for several companies where employees brought in their kids on TYKTWD, and I never had to talk to any of them.
Maybe if you'd spend your time doing your own job instead of worrying about what everyone else was doing, you'd be a better employee and wouldn't have been canned from your last two jobs.

I find it interesting that in one of "Similar Threads" down below there is a story of a man being fired for bringing his dog to work. Most of the posters seemed to think that the punishment went overboard.
However, this woman brings her child to work on Take Your Child to Work Day and she gets blasted.
Interesting. I wonder what the reason behind that is?
Still sounds a bit excessive to me. Why not suspend her without pay for one week, or something to that effect? Some of these employers are too quick on the draw nowadays. It's getting to the point now where you can't even fart without worrying if you're going to be fired for it.

Like I posted earlier, my guess is that this was the last straw in a series of problems with this particular employee.
