I have been a teacher for 20 years. I'm in my mid 40's, so I feel I have a few more working years in me, but this year has been so difficult that I am considering leaving teaching. My problem is I don't really know what else I could do. I have a BS in interdisciplinary studies and a MS in educational leadership. I have taught middle school science for the last 10 years and 6th grade math, science, social studies for 10 years before that. I'm especially good with human body studies and labs. I also have a knack for environmentalism, plants, and most anything to do with soil, as I grew up on a farm.

I covet anyones thoughts and/or suggestions.
What about just moving to a different state? My history teacher was talking about moving to North Carolina in a couple of years. You might have better luck somewhere else
I think I'm tired of teaching.
Moving to a new location is easier said than done with all of the cutback in education.
Moving to another state is not an option.
With your degree and experience, look into green technologies and biosciences. Both are growing fields that are hiring. You might need to take a pay cut until you prove yourself, but then you should move up quickly.
