Really, Obama needs to drop the health care joke and take care of regular people and jobs or get out of office.

The health care bill IS taking care of regular people. With universal health care people can change the way they work, for instance you can work 2 part time jobs and be covered, instead of always needing that one big full-time job w/ the benefits.

So you are relying on the President to get you a job? Can he at least raise taxes to do it? And apparently this means you have faith in the Gov't, and no faith left for the private sector which has squeezed the value out of the midwest (along with the jobs).

So we know how you will vote from now on then.

This "health care" bill is nothing but a big gift for the insurance/pharma industry written BY the insurance/pharma industry, with the help of our bought-off government.

Neither the government nor the private sector has the will to create jobs, unfortunately. Living in a broken country sucks

If it were actually unconstitutional, there would be plenty of legislators all over that fact and none of the proposals would have gotten as far as they have.

I don't necessarily agree 100% with either side of the healthcare debate, but to claim that you know more about constitutionality than all of the legislators and judiciary in Washington and across the country is absurd.

Then why are health insurance companies desperately trying to squash the bill?

But I'll agree with you about the country being broken, it's a long time coming. Biggest single reason? IMHO, the greed of corporations since around 1980. Value is stolen on just about every product paying unseemly salaries and paying investors first, no regard for the people, the towns or cities involved, or the sustainability.

Government in the public economy is surely not part of the government's job.
There job is to say the hell out of our lives.

The health bill got this far because Obama is not a leader but a dictator that need to get the hell out of office now.

They're not trying to squash the bill as is- they're trying to squash the public option because they know anyone in their right mind won't pay them a dime for their worthless "product". Democrats are falling all over themselves to not have to put a bill including a public option up for a vote because then they'd have to betray their true constituents- lobbyists.

But you're spot on about how corporate greed is hollowing out this country. The large multi-nationals are for the most part parasitic.
