I am looking to start working from home but need some suggestions on which route to take. I would like some info on some websites that offer legit work at home data entry position that does not require any upfront costs.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
My wife worked for Liveops from home. It's a call center type job with scripts to read off when you get a call. The callers were mostly those that were responding to infomercials. The only requirements were an actual landline phone and a pc. The call would come in, the script would pop up and off she would go.

I do LiveOps, make about $800-$1000/month. Its easy, and very flexible.
They do charge an application fee of $50 (it was $35 when I applied). You will read NEVER to pay any fees upfront, but this is an exception.Suck it up and pay, it is a legit company, if you can get in. I understand they get 1000 applications/day!

I did it a few years ago, got a job, stopped LiveOps, lost a job, went back to it, got a job, lost it, and am now going back, and I also hope to reinstate my life and health insurance license so I can do that via LiveOps.

Ummm....you don't get health insurance via LiveOps, no benefits.
I started Liveops about 3 years ago, got a FT job and thought of dropping Liveops, but held onto it. Then I got laid off from my Ft job, and stepped up Liveops. Most of my Liveops earnings paid our Cobra, but at least we had it. always good to have more than one egg in the basket!

True. But you can say that for any independent/freelance gig. I have no choice - I can't get a job where benefits are available. Nowadays few people can.
[added] Oh, I see what you are saying...........I mean, I am going to get my life insurance producer (salesman) license! LiveOps offers the opportunity to sell insurance products if you are licensed.

Whoa!!! A thousand apps a day, times $50 each, times 30 days, equals $1,500,000 a month just shuffling paperwork.
I'll bet they make waaaaay more money pretending to process apps then they do putting people to work. Sounds like scam to me.
