Paris, France (AHN) - France's largest telecommunications firm is setting aside $1.48 billion to fund a stress-reduction program for staff aimed at ending a spate of suicides among its workers.

France Telecom SA revealed the plan Wednesday in the face of lower third quarter profits

It seems they could save themselves money by improving working conditions.

That's quite a sum to set aside when they say their profits aren't what they used to be........

Yeah and their saying for "stress reduction" workers over 57 are being reduced to p/t.......hmm, in this country that's called "age discrimination" (though it's done in droves anyway)......gotta love the French spin on it
