For the hypotheticals, fair enough. But to answer a prospective employee's questions with another question is bad form. A job interview is a two-way street - the candidate is supposed to be able to feel out the company as well. (And what VP has 80 minutes for a job interview?)
At least it sounds like the question were founded in the company's reality, rather than the ubiquitous "Describe your greatest weakness" sort of question, which is just a waste of everybody's time.
