Was not sure where to post this, but I've noticed that in my office it seems that somehow we are able match our outfits, top same color and bottom same color. This happen with both the men and women.

I have noticed as many as 7 people matching in one day, there is only about 40 people on my floor. For example if I wear a red shirt and beige pants, I will notice at least 6 others with the same color combo? I have also noticed that when we have business associates visit they also match.

When I get dressed in the morning I don't think too much about it, I grab a clean shirt and pants and off I go. Could this have something to do with the weather? Hopefully I'm not losing my mind!

Thoughts?

Work in fashion in NYC. I swear you will think everyone is gothic with all of the black clothing they wear.

I used to work in an office where this happened all of the time. There were 9 ladies and many times 6 or 8 of us would happen to wear the same combination of colors. Often one of the others would make a comment about not getting the memo to wear lime green today.

It happens quite frequently where I work as well. On one occassion, I wore a baby blue and white striped sweater with khaki pants... just to have a male coworker walk in with the exact same color combination. We were also both wearing the same brand shoes to boot!

That's funny, I noticed that at my last job with 3 people in the office. Well actually there were 5 but 2 were attorneys who were usually not "in" the office with us and never matched us.

Out of the 3 of us that remained though, I can't tell you how many times we ended up matching. There were 2 women and one guy and the dress was business casual. Most often the match ended up with all three of us in light blue button downs with khakis, or gray pants and pinstriped shirts. Pretty funny, who knows why it happens.

I used to laugh at this kind of thing all the time, until we had a training here about "gang colors."
Now I look at all those people wearing red or blue on the same day with the hairy eyeball!

This is interesting. They say when women spend a lot of time together their periods start to coincide. Perhaps the same happens to fashion sense...

I attribute it more to laziness, though. On casual Fri almost everybody would wear jeans and a black, or white, or gray shirt. It’s easy – no color coordination to think about.

I have always noticed this. I am not sure if it is that your taste change or we want to conform with thsoie we associate ourslefs with.Probably the latter because this is commnon in school and in socaity as a rule.Een car brands;models and colors are involved. I can remember when almost every woman had a white Honda Accord, then a van.A mark of belongoing I guess.
