I use to work for Adecco and haven't heard from them in ages. I switched to Acloche (in Columbus, OH). They had work for quite awhile, then closed their downtown office and moved it out east (east Columbus). Now they have no jobs downtown, just in the residental areas and suburbs. If I had a car I could have alot more work, but without a job how do you get a car? I'm thinking of working at Starbucks or Firstwatch, places like that. What do you guys know about work like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Back in the 80's as a secretary I signed up with a few temp agencies and my phone never stopped ringing for job offers. After being laid off now for over a year, the temp agencies tell you not even to bother coming in, there just isn't enough work and WAY too many applicants. Sign of the times. It doesn't matter how many skills you have, the line of qualified applicants vs jobs is an infinite bridge to nowhere. Online job searching has been equally disappointing as well as asking everyone you know who IS still employed for leads. Time to tighten our belts and eat less, drive less, and stay-cations!
