Yes, definitely look into what the benefits situation would be with two part-time jobs. Also consider that you don't have to find your job particularly fulfilling and love it to do it and get paid. Put in your 40 hours and go live your real life.
Life is too short to spend 5 days a week doing something that wears you out mentally for long. That carries over into "real life."

There is a balance. In a perfect world should strive for a job that plays to your strengths and skillset and is something that you can stand doing. But you also don't have to believe the "do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life" nonsense. It's perfectly okay to exchange your time and your skills for money and benefits in a job that's just fine, and clock out to live and love your real life.
Your plan will probably be without benefits since most only kick in at 30 hours, but if it will make you happier, go for it.
In my hourly hospital jobs (Boston area) benefits were pro-rated at 16 hours. I always kept one part-time job at that job for benefits and picked up other part-time jobs. One advantage to hospital work was the 24/7 availability of times to work. A lot of people worked part-time for the benefits and had another job in another area (this job was psychiatric hospital- plenty of work for mental health assistants).
OP, is there something you can do that's related to the NHL, since that seems to be a strong interest? Obviously not one of the jobs that requires skating and knocking a puck around, but there are many support jobs in the sports industry.
It sounds like you don't like a long and steady job. As long as you are happy with the job you choose, then you will have the excitement and comfort, the love to be able to get through 8 hours of daily work.

Its the OP!!
I have a new route, my goal is to work 32 hrs a week. 16 hrs at each place.
I have a weekend job 8 hrs a day. Than I will be seeking another job 8 hrs a day during the workweek only 2 days.
I can barely tolerate 5 days a week , 8 hrs a day routine. I am winding it all down, I have 9.5 years to go till early retirement and checking out way sooner than later mentally towards being a slave to the timecard.
I have no desire to work at the same place more than twice a week.
I know I have no medical insurance, thats is my biggest risk.
