No way I would commute two hours each way even 3 days a week. That's like working an additional 12 hours a week without pay. Well, unless I was driving a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
but most people have a commute of about 15min-45 so they’re working SOME hours for
free too. if you compare abb xommute let’s say 1/2 hour that’s about 5 hours well commuting f .

You didn't answer the person who asked what you meant by "my current job pays my travel"
True - but a crappy manager/co-worker/environment can more than offset that.... no?
This is why I think many questions on this board can be very myopic. You get tunnel vision on specific factors and forget there are other factors that can have impact as well... just my .02.
Holding all else equal, reducing travel time is preferable. Personally, I'm going to leave a job with a bad manager/co-worker/environment anyway, so that's a non-issue here. But again, that's just me.
It is a 10 minute drive to my office. I have a car issued to me by the organization I am employed by. I do have some travel as part of my duties and responsibilities. I have a work from home option. However, I prefer the office. If the weather is bad I will work from home or if something else comes up I am working from home.
I wouldn’t want 2 hours of drive time to be a regular part of my day. When I was working the road that was a part of life. I am glad I moved up from that.
Option 2, obviously. No way would I drive four hours per day on the days I have to work in the office!
But if you don't have a family/young kids and/or your significant other, if any, doesn't object, then what about spending M-W at the other location (assuming your company will pay for two nights in a hotel each week) and then being home Thursday through Sunday? That might be a possibility to consider.
So my job did offer me t work from home full-time. I did decline and accept the job 5 minutes away. Thank you all for all your feedback and advice.
