I have nice long hair...but it's not very professional looking. I really don't want to cut it. How do you working ladies make your long hair more business-like?
I put mine half up with a rubber band, and then tie the rest back with another rubber band low on the neck. You could use something nicer than a rubber band too, such as a nice clip or barrette. It really helps get my hair out of my way.
A bun is also good but my longer hair is still a tad short to go up easily.
There are some great fabric headbands out now that you can get to match different outfits. I like hair combs that are pretty, but not too fancy. I think the ones with the dangling beads and pearls are a bit much for work. I like the braid idea too; it's ideal for keeping your hair out of your way and looking polished all at the same time.
I used to make my own barrettes. You can buy them at craft stores and make them up to match whatever outfit you choose.
