Assuming both will provide a comfortable living, do the work you enjoy doing the most. Handling stress on the job is a matter of learning to handle people and the work. A dishwasher can be more stressed than a CEO. A lower paying job can be more stressful than a higher paying one depending on the work and who you report to and work with. The most important part of any job is managing your bosses, co-workers and subordinates (if you have any), and becoming an expert in your field. Having a job you truly enjoy doing, that provides a comfortable living, is worth much more than money and titles.

I had a job where i woke up in the AM, and absolutely dreaded going to that job. The work, the people, the atmosphere...I just hated it.

If I ever get to that point again with any job, i'm done.

Fortunately, I love where I work now.
