Would you work at a company that has a lot of negative reviews? It has 2.8 stars out if 5 stars. People who work there are saying there is a lot of drama going on like people talking about others including supervisors. A lot of people say this and that many don't last long there and are telling people not to work there. The pay is good but it's 3rd shift. I hate work places that have a lot of drama and bad supervisors.
It would depend on whether the reviews are related to my specific job. I have a few friends who had jobs at a place that normally gets bad reviews, but they were not in the units where the most complaints came from.
I would not. The bad score alone doesn't cause me to dismiss a place, it depends on their nature. For instance, some companies had lots of production layoffs, which can lead to bad reviews, but might not affect my office job necessarily. Or my location might be immune.
But rampant gossip, backstabbing, integrity issues....nope

I worked for a company that had a 2.6 rating. It wasn't bad in our section, but damn it was boring. Oh and on third shift, you may find the drama is very limited. At my place the supervisor won't tolerate too much drama. He's got the power to get rid of those types and has done so.
My company has a very low rating as well. I would ask to talk to people that work there so you can better understand the company, the culture and if it is a good fit.
Most of the time people who hate their jobs go on glassdoor, so the reviews are skewed a bit.

That doesn't tell me anything. Lots of unhappy people will want to share their review. Some ecstatic people will share theirs. It's harder to get people to say, "I'm perfectly happy."
They don't mean anything to me. People with grievances -- real or imagined -- are more than happy to post their feelings because they think everyone needs to know. Happy and content people, not so much in my opinion.
