Hi, I interviewed with two companies.

Company A is located in Stockton and is willing to offer me a starting salary of $520,000.

Second company is located in Pasadena and is willing to offer me a starting salary of $330,000.

Which one should I choose? Higher salary at a small rural town with little to no night scenery or a lower salary at a much bigger city environment?

If you are looking at 1/2 million dollar offers, you are doing better than 99% of this sub. We may not be the best ones to advise you.

This post seems more like a humble brag than a problem needing advice.

Stockton has 28 night clubs, and Pasadena has 31 night clubs. That IS a major dilemma.

500k is a lot of money in Stockton. Housing costs in Pasadena are high, so it depends on your housing reqirements. Your commute in Stockton would be easier. It also depends on your field and if one place ofers more opportunity.

Stockton is ok for families, not great for singles. Pasedena would be better for singles. It depends on your life stage.

I might take the big bucks, tough it out for a year or 2 and save for a down payment in a better locale. You'd have the income to rent a hotel room in the Bay Area for the weekend for fun and still come out ahead compared to Pasadena rents.

Stockton SUCKS. Stay the hell away from Stockton. Take the LA job and have a nice life over there.

On other threads you claim to be making $38,000 doing back office accounting, and have a modest budget for a computer mouse.

I find it hard to believe you misplaced the comma on two separate incomes, so we'll have to chalk this up this thread as fantasy.

this is such a troll post.. look back at the OP's previous posts- no way this is serious. I glanced and thought it was a typo and he meant 52k.
