Absolutely! As a very experienced Registered Nurse, I could certainly run hospitals, and probably work as a renowned physician .

The better years would come after the conclusion of World War I, however!

Creating financial statements, compiling data, and making market forecasts would also be a lot harder without Microsoft Excel! Additionally, the Capital Assets Pricing Model (CAPM) didn't come out until the 1960s, so it was a lot harder to price assets according to their market value.
Actually, not having the CAPM and other mathematical pricing tools made it easier to add value as an active manager or security analyst.

I would love to know how one becomes a speechwriter. Very cool job, as long as it's for the right person.

Wow - pretty cool question. I've always thought about how to make a lot of money with the knowledge I have and going back in time.

But this is a bit different as it's asking what "skills" are transferable to 100 years ago. Unfortunately for me, I'm in Information Security - so my skills are essentially useless back in the day. And add to the fact that I'm Asian, I'm wondering what opportunities would actually exist for me.

First things that come to mind is real estate or stocks - but again, that's using my knowledge of history than any type of actual skills.

None of my current job skills will help me in 100 years in the past.
My grandfathers/great grandfathers were farmers and coal mine workers. I think i could do either. i don't think i would enjoy either but i could certainly do them.

Yes. I'm an optician/ophthalmic technician. I help people select glasses and prescription lenses to improve their vision and work with the ophthalmologist in diagnosing and treating eye disease. This field has been around for hundreds of years. Medical is a stable profession

Yes, I have a 100 year old theodolite sitting next to my desk and I know how to use it. With WWI going on, probably would have been able to find work using it while the men were off fighting.

Would have to sit down and figure out how a slide rule works.
