CNAs leave my supply rooms a mess after the weekend and my boss decides it's the perfect day to grill me on how messy I am and my inability to keep them clean.
When you pull in to your company parking lot, and only your Boss and the HR personnels car are there.
Normally there are 30-40 cars there.
Needless to say ...It was my turn to receive the pink slip and be "let go".
I knew the moment I saw the parking lot that I was being let go....It was a walk of shame like none other to walk thru the door, be told to report to the conference room and from there...unemployed....
You get to work, a guard at the door is letting people in one by one and inside there are people you've never seen before emptying filing cabinets into cardboard boxes. That was my first inkling that it wasn't going to be a good day. It went downhill from there.
Your boss tells you to do something illegal and tries to convince you that's it's really above board. That happened recently, and I left the company immediately. They are now in deep legal and financial trouble.
When a "customer" sends an irate email about something they are dead wrong on and not interested in learning the truth about. Their anger and entitlement is all that matters.
I end up agonizing on the verbiage sometimes for an hour trying to find the right words to communicate that they are holding a losing hand and nothing can come from their rage and confusion. Get it wrong and they might escalate it to my bosses' boss.
Worst part of my job for sure... (the high A-hole factor)
