Do you leave work at work or do you always take work home?
What is your profession and is it easy to leave work and forget about it at the end of the day?

I work for the government and leave my work at work. I work my full day, always arrive on time and leave on time. If something comes up where I need to stay late I am always happy to do so and my time card is reflected accordingly. I am not running a charity outside of my normal work hours.

Yes. You have physically or mentally. It helps that I live far away and am able to decompress on the drive home. If you live close drive around a bit until you've decompressed and gotten it off your mind. Don't take work mess home.

I actually just did a little bit of work just now.

I sent an email to a guy on Friday asking for something missing. Realized over the weekend I actually had it and missed it, so emailed him back saying it was OK as to not look like an idiot.

Yes and no. I don't bring work home. But at home I go over certain things to sharpen my skills.

As a manager in commercial real estate I may be called at home, but it's rare. I never take home work, though I may at times telecommute for a day. When I'm off on PTO I may check email if I think about it, like when just on a local trip or hanging out at home but if I go somewhere nice like Hawaii I'll forget about work.

In my opinion, I'm paid to get the job done. That's what I do.

Ends as soon as I clock out for the day, My co workers a different story, their whole lives revolve around that place, from friends, relationships, even hanging out there after hours.

Work and everyone there are just a figment of my imagination after 5 PM; they do not exist
Gotta respect the balance.
