it's snickers, and beef jerky, and little weird towel things, and as seen on tv crap (that section is an unholy mess) and phone cards, itunes cards, and all the impulse stuff.
I would like one person who has actually DONE this explain to me that it's simple. That it's easy and that anyone can do it.
I'd love to hear about your time working department 82, and how you ended up doing a good job at it.
please share your story.

3) Go to another store.. you don't even have to say your doing research... but interesting idea and an alternative if you rather do that than just talk to an employee at the other store and tell them your store is a mess and everyone is busy.. and you want to shadow someone to learn to properly do it (and offer to help some)
If you whine and complain as much at work as you do on this forum, there's no wonder no one wants anything to do with you at work. No one wants to be around such a negative person.
The title of this thread is "Don't know how to do it, wondering if others hate me."
1. We don't know if they hate you. Ask them.
2. We don't know how to merchandise your cashier area with snickers and cloths and lighters. Ask your employer.
But now, it has become "I'm a $9/hour cashier at Walmart and I don't know how to stock the department 82 merch. I feel incompetent. Therefore, I am going to be combative and ask others to prove how successful they have personally been in THIS position after most people have either tried to offer advice or advised me to ASK at my workplace."
Good grief.
ETA: The next time I'm at Walmart, I am going to ask the cashier what the procedure is for stocking 82 merch. If he\she doesn't know, I am tempted to request a manager for a quick lesson so I can report back. It simply can't be rocket science.
I'm simply asking this person to share their experience working department 82, and share how they did a great job at it.
You are asking on for this on C-D where there may be NO ONE who worked in this department.
But there are people you see every day at work who have. If your coworkers seem annoyed with you, ask someone on a different shift like someone here has suggested.

I am sure there are people who have been successful in this position. Some of them may have been promoted to a higher position and be right there at your Walmart. Those are the people you should be talking to.

Please don't do that. That's an incredibly crappy thing to do to someone. Employees are not there for your personal amusement or for you to torment. Who do you think you are, Joffrey Baratheon?
Well! You clearly don't intend to do a single damn thing except complain, so good luck to you. Hope you get far in life with that approach.
I'm not complaining. I'm asking this person to share their experience working department 82 at Walmart.
