The swab test is a non conclusive test. It will detect alcohol if used recently (usually within 48 hours) but the results are actually designed for only a positive result to indicate alcohol use. Unfortunately, since many of these test display a range from nothing to positive, some unskilled or over zealous person may assume that the readings between nothing and positive is also some indicator of alcohol use when it may just be the cheap aftershave its detecting. If the test is administered in-house by the employer using some DIY alcohol swab test kit, who knows what the results might be. If done within a lab setting, they only report a a positive when it is a firm positive, nothing else.

70 hours? It should be gone by then. Don't drink any more until after the test.

Just because someone says they drank a liter, doesn't mean they drank a liter. It means they made a post in an internet discussion forum.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, did it fall?
