I hadn't known about the B-Corporation thing at all, nor Wonolo, which at this point operates in OK City and SF from what I gather on the website. There are so many of these temp-job connector sites now.
The idea of huge swaths of mobile workers, hired for only a few days or weeks at a time brings to mind the image of day laborers during the Dust Bowl years. Hardly a recipe for a stable and flourishing society.
Yes, my job makes me happy because it allows me to live a comfortable life outside of work. The work is enjoyable because I decided to take an interest in it and I signed on to do the work. If you aren't happy with your work then you need to find something else to do.
The title of the thread is the title of the article. I thought it might be of use for someone seekign happiness, I'm not running a poll. As you say MJ7, people need to find what's right for them.

My job does not make me happy. I feel like this poster above, Xlexa. While I like my job, I wish I could work part-time, say no more than 20 hours a week or even fewer. I'd use the free time for interests and activities that "make me happy."
I get more enjoyment when I am doing private consulting and am not tied to a corporate paycheck. Sometimes I think that paychecks are the equivalent of dog leashes.
No its just a paycheck to get $, i do something else out 9-5 to keep me happy, 90% of people are this way
