Hi! I am looking to get a job where I work 3 days a week, but they are 12 hour shifts. I am going to school in the fall, so I would rather have a job that works that way. Also I am 21 years old, so are there any particular jobs that do that? What jobs should I look out for that do that kind of work? It can be anywhere in Pittsburgh, or surrounding areas, or you can just give me suggestions! Thank you!
Well, the industry I work has jobs with 12hr shifts. I work in a petroleum refinery which is a 24/7 365 a day operation. I am a refinery operator. Almost all refinery operators work a 12hr shift.
I would assume that many production type jobs or plant type jobs who are operators work 12hr shifts.
So chemical plants, nuclear power plant, coal plant, ethanol plants, etc. all of those jobs are usually 24/7 operations that have operators who work 12hr shifts.

If you just need cash on the side while in school then when I was in college I worked as a grocery clerk for a large chain. They were very flexible with their hours and I certainly worked 12 hour shifts some days.
