Hello Forum,
I'm thinking about taking up Carpentry as a career. I like the idea of building with my hands, doing physical labor, and just the work itself interest me. I've never been to collge before and I'm very well establish in I.T, and so I was thinking it was time for a second interest?

I'm more of asking advice on how one would pursue Carpentry at the age of 22? Would I go to school? or would I seek work in capentry and build off experience?

I don't know much about how to get carpentry training. But as for a career, carpentry is really valued in real estate, if you want to get into that later. We just bought a new house, and our real estate agent is a carpenter by trade. He is very knowledgeable, has a great eye for detail, and basically knows the ins and outs of houses -- so your carpentry skills would definitely be applicable in a variety of fields.
