Do you have a PE license yourself then?

I am asking this in all honesty, and not to be snarky.

Step 3) Lash out at everyone who expects their hard work, skills, and education to count for something as "being entitled."

Step 4) Pat one's self on the back while taking full credit for one's own good fortune because "everyone gets what they deserve in life."

It's not just engineers these types hate - they simply despise anyone beneath them socio-economically and believe in a Just World. Don't bother reasoning with them - it won't work.
Lol

i don't think they're entitled. They just want to be recognized for their hard work and not be treated like dirt.

Given that engineers know everything, I think a sense of entitlement is appropriate.

Are you sure you want to use the word entitlement here?

I am an engineer. And I don't think I feel entitled. I don't think most of my fellow engineers at work feel that way.

It is just a job; just like every other jobs out there.
It is just a mean to survive and sort of bring the bacon home.
