How long did you stay at your FIRST job before working somewhere else?

My first job was a summer job at my dad's company. I stayed there for six summers throughout three years of high school and college. You couldn't be a summer employee once you were out of college, so my last summer was before my senior year of college.

My first post-college job was at a call center for a web services company, and I lasted five months due to layoffs. (I was kinda relieved b/c I didn't really like working there at all and was job searching in my off hours anyway.)

I can't remember the exact time frame, but I left my first job probably a couple of weeks after getting it. I was making 80 cents and hour pumping gas, my first job out of HS, and another station was hiring at $1.00 an hour, so of course I made the jump ! Gotta take those big raises when they come along, ya know !
