I am new here. I am working on this case called "Hilton Hotels brand differentiation through Customer Relationship Management", and I have a few questions for those who have experience in working for Hilton Hotels.
The case basically describes Hilton's implementation of OnQ and the theory behind the basic system. It discusses the advantages of the system mostly, and also a little bit of future concerns. What I am looking for here is, someone who has experience with OnQ or like generally who has in mind a few issues that were faced by them at Hilton properties. Any thing relating to the system or its implementation, how its NOT helping or could be improved.
I also have a question regarding pre-assignments of rooms at Hilton Hotels, the case states that one loses flexibility with pre-assignments of rooms in hotel, I was wondering if that is the case then how would you say that the hotel loses the flexibility? and if there's some kind of way around it?
I'm sure this is totally innocent, but it comes off like someone with anonymity looking for competitive information. If you can't go to Hilton hotels directly, maybe utilize LinkedIn groups or something, so people can put a face and a name with you. Even if you are just a student, it looks very fishy searching for information this way.
Oh, actually the case is quite old. Its from the days when Hilton was public, and the case that I am talking about is available on the internet as well. Since I don't have any experience regarding hotels, I thought maybe people actually working for Hotels would be able to help me.
But ofcourse, if you think I qualify for help, you may help me, but if you think I don't, its totally okay as well.
And the LinkedIn groups, can you possibly direct me to them? I do have a profile on LinkedIn, maybe I can ask around there
Log into your LinkedIn profile. Hover over "Interests", Click on "Groups". Search Groups for "Hilton". Find one that isn't locked and ask your question in an open forum. Alternatively, you can connect with some Hilton employees and see if they can direct you to a better answer.
I would help you, but I don't have the wisdom you seek.
This is the case study I am doing. Just to give you guys some proof that its not pretense
